I don't have a personal rec, but a lot of WW people like Premier Protein. Apparently there is an organic version, too.

Thanks Leslie! I just saw those at Sam's Club this week! I didn't see the organic version though......I have to go back today to pick up something for Easter so I'll grab some of the shakes too. Thanks again

My mom (diabetic), my sister (pre-diabetic/pre-hypertensive) and I decided to do a three month challenge. We're all going back to the doctor for re-checks, so we figured it would be a good timeframe.

    - weekly weigh-ins
    - daily tracking
    - no more than two days 150+ calories above goal (which allows us to go to parties and such and enjoy ourselves)

I think this is totally do-able. I have gotten better with food; workouts are my deficit. Whereas my mom and sister have more time to workout but their diets aren't great. If any of us miss one of these things, we owe $5. The winner at the end of three months picks where we go for a weekend get away. I'm all for that!!

Chimi that sounds like a fun way to get back into a good routine of healthy eating.

I did really well yesterday, I think. I had two donuts for breakfast, my end of Lent, treat. Then my regular lunch of turkey sandwich and 2 light string cheeses. For dinner I had a small piece of ham and another one of roast beef. A tablespoon of potato salad and a whole lot of roasted asparagus, LOL! I also had a roll, small, small piece of cheesecake and a small piece of peach pie. I had budgeted for all of that so I am doing well on my points for the week. I was able to enjoy my Easter and not feel deprived in any way.

Stevie I drink the premier protein from Costco... it took me a few days to get used to the taste but now I really like them and they keep me full for 3-4 hours.

Last week was so, so bad. We were away on spring break. One night I ate so much that my ribs hurts the next day. And then I overdid it again yesterday. So glad to be back on a routine today!

The protein drinks arrived from Costco today and my DH has had one of the vanilla ones and says it's good. They are currently $7.50 off per 12 pack through 5/7, so I may buy a few more. The chocolate ones were not shipped yet, but I'll update when we get those.

Thanks for the rec ladies! After Leslie posted about them, I picked up the chocolate Premier shake from Sam's Club (not organic ones though.) It was $16 for a pack of 12..... bummer Sam's isn't having the same sale as Costco

I haven't tried one yet, because it was Easter weekend and I gorged, and we are leaving to go on a mini vacay tomorrow. I figure I will begin my healthy eating plan (including the shake) when I get back.
