Default What to do with parenting/family planning section?

We had a poster ask for an area for bigger kids, because the 3-5 year old issues aren't quite the same as say the 7-10 year old issues that some of the parents of older children have. Since we have many different age ranges, we went back and forth on this. Here is what we came up with, please vote what you would like to see.

    Birth to preschool
    Schoolage
    Family Planning and Pregnancy combined

Since the forms are not as active as they once were, maybe the first option works the best? Regardless, I think having an area for older kids seems like a great idea.

sea - that was one thing that we tossed around. When we separated into many forums, those subforums would still get a full page of new posts each day. That simply doesn't happen now. Another thought was that it would end the "where does this stroller thread go for a double stroller" and it would hopefully encourage moms who might not visit the baby section anymore because they have preschoolers and above to maybe see the baby question and weigh in with her valuable been there done that advice.

Between those options, I pick the first. My honest opinion is just to group parenting into one general forum. When I'm seeing advice or just browsing topics, I like opinions from a wide range of posters, not just ones that happen to have a child the exact same age as mine. Perhaps there could be group threads based on age to serve the purpose for chatting with those that have similar aged kids.

Well, dang, should I add another poll with the option to put it all together?

How do most people use cc? I know that I ONLY click on "new posts" every time I visit. So I see all the threads regardless of where they are put. In fact, most of the time I have no idea where threads are located.

Put them all together! I have teenagers, and I don't think there are many other members who do. Maybe people can reference the age group in the title of the thread?
