I know! I always kind of stutter when I think about it!!

How was everyone's Easter? Ours was way over loaded with candy even though I really tried to keep that minimal. Austin was a sugar fool all day - I'm lucky I got him to eat breakfast & that was all he had besides candy all day! I cut off all the candy at MIL's -she did an egg hunt & of course there was tons of candy in those eggs. I finally got him to eat a piece of pizza & a porkchop last night after we got home -he was still trying to get into all the candy though! It's crazy! I checked out Easter stuff on clearance today and didn't get a single thing because I couldn't bear the thought of taking more candy into our house right now!

Isabella had candy for breakfast- you know it's a holiday when that happens! We did 2 egg hunts, the morning hunt that the 'easter bunny' set up and I did a hunt later when our friends came over w/ their kid. For the EB hunt, the eggs had quarters, chocolates wrapped in foil and 3 or 4 eggs had those mini eggs not packaged, so she got to eat those right away. I made her still eat half a banana and part of her bagel for breakfast after! Then we went to the farmer's market and when we got home, she ate the rest of her bagel. So it wasn't too bad. For the other egg hunt, I filled the eggs with goldfish and freeze dried yogurt and she ate a bunch of those. Eh. Then she had a (small) kinderegg after dinner. She really enjoyed her basket, but she was very suspicious of how the EB got inside the house. Last year I set up the basket outside and she remembered that and was anticipating it again for this year, but it rained overnight so I did everything inside. Kind of funny how suspicious she is already!

Anyway, Easter was okay. It was nice that our friends came over w/ their son, that was a nice distraction from my in laws. In laws are staying with us until Wednesday- very tiring!!

And - this is dumb but so annoying! Isabella only does 1 activity, which is swimming lessons. I go to sign her up for soccer this morning and the only time it's available is exactly the time she does swimming! So freaking annoying. She loooooves her swimming teacher so I'm annoyed to have to move her. I called to see if I could get that teacher at another time, but I can't. Bah! I'm going to try to talk to someone in person when I take her to our new lesson. Or maybe she will miraculously love the new teacher... I can hope right??

Around here all the activities are during the week - there are some swimming classes that take place DURING school (for my older DD)... Who plans these things?

I should say - soccer and swimming are both also offered during the week, but soccer is at like 11am. And it's a parent participating class (my husband participates) so that's a no-go. I did end up moving her swimming to Fridays when I'm off and I will take her, just so we don't have so many things clogging up the weekend. But, annoying!
