Bumping this. DS2 (3y3m) has been day-PT for about 3 months. Underwear all day with no accidents. Now, over the past 2 weeks he has had multiple pees and poos per day in his underwear, mostly at home. He has also started going to a secluded place quietly and pooping his pants. I just don't get it and it is very hard not to get angry with him. Any experience or advice on this regression???

L&DNurse I think my DS1 had a regression of sorts like that. You just have to be very firm with them -they know what they are doing. I think generally it's a phase (a very frustrating one). I think the advise I got was to not make a big deal & have him clean up/change & move on. Is it possible he's just wanting a bit more attention? Have you been busier than usual lately or has there been a change in your day to day routine?

Thank you so much for your reply! I hadn't thought of it as a way to get attention... that very well may be it. Yes, I have been busier and preoccupied the past month or so... applying to grad school, starting a new job, and studying for a big exam. DS2 isn't in preschool yet, so he has been first-hand witness to all of my research, studying, etc. I will definitely be more aware of this in the future. Thank you again

L&D Same thing happened with my DD. The more attention we gave it (both positive and negative) the more it happened. Definitely attention seeking. I'd just ignore it and try to focus on giving him more 1 on 1 attention in general.
