What Laura suggested is the easiest way to go. You could write up the clues beforehand too. Maybe a neighbor could put the eggs out the night before for you?

I emailed DH and I think we are going to stay in Vegas Saturday night, go see a Cirque du Soleil show and fly home on Sunday. He ignored my suggestion fo brunch in Vegas but I suggested I have our sitter come put everything out. Also, if we end up picking the girls up and leaving straight from school, I can just leave them out then. We are definitely going to discuss flights if not also book them tonight, so I can plan better then.

I totally pulled Easter out of my rear end, but it seemed to go well.

I ordered the big items on Thursday and had them delivered to my parents'. We were by them for Easter. I got new baskets and candy at Target on Friday. Probably the LEAST I've ever prepped, and it was more than fine.

Target actually They were on clearance for like $4.50 (down from $15). Randomly saw them and thought the girls would get a kick out of them. I was right; they loved it. The pencils sucked, but I paid $4.50 for them.
