DD (5) is going to be Izzie from 'Jake and the Neverland Pirates'- it's a real easy costume to throw together, most of which can be used as regular clothes.

DS (2) is going to be a pirate. DD wants him to be Jake, but he got a pirate costume for Christmas.

We actually have a ghost costume in her dress up bin and she doesn't wear it for long. What should I do?
Asha, how about something like this?

DS (6) wants to be a red jelly bean so hopefully he won't end up looking like a kidney.

DD (3) and DS (1) are both going to be bumble bees.

I don't know why but this totally made me laugh out loud because I can just see it in my head. It's a very subtle distinction in shade of red....

Up until a few days ago, DD was very adamant that she wanted to be a vampire - she's talked about dressing up as a vampire since last Halloween. I was going to go to the fabric store with her this weekend and pick out the fabric to make a gothic style black and red dress. Luckily, yesterday, she announced that she no longer wants to be a vampire but wants to be a princess instead. I made her a princess dress two years ago for Halloween which she's worn for two Halloweens now (her choice). I think she now wants a Disney princess dress which at least means less work for me since I'll just buy that costume. But I'm worried she'll be like 'wait, I wanted to be a vampire not a princess again' about two days before Halloween, when I'll no longer have enough time to make the costume and when they will probably be sold out in the stores.

My DS2 is a pit crew person (have no idea what that's called)

And DS1, while he LOVES batman, is going to be Spiderman.

Originally I was going to do batman and Robin, but those costumes are mighty expensive, and DS1 was thrilled with the Spiderman one!

ETA: Sorry that second picture is huge, I can't seem to change it!

I'm not feeling very creative this year. Chloe is going to be a butterfly.
I got these wings from Etsy.
    These tights from Crazy 8:

and I'm recycling DD's birthday pettiskirt from her birthday:
    .

I just need to find a shirt the right shade of green.

I'm going to try and be crafty and put together outfits for the girls this year.

DD1 wants to be Olivia the Pig and DD2 is enthralled with owls lately, so I thought that would be cute. I love the PBK owl costume but it's sold out in her size.

DD is going to be the pig from Chasing Fireflies- although whether she keeps the head on is doubtful, so we will see. It is *adorable* on, though.
