    Great thread!

Please pray for my SIL Lauren. She is only 24 and had her 2nd open heart surgery a week ago. She was born with a heart defect and they just had to replace her aorta. She has been in ICU and was supposed to move to a normal room to recover but they can't get the heart to beat regularly and may have to open her up again. My brother is beside himself with worry, as we all are. Her speedy recovery is what we are hoping to pray for.

    Thank you

Ramona, I too am praying for your SIL.

I just wanted to give you an update regarding my request from a few weeks ago. I am happy to report that my arm is healing very well, and the pain is now only at night. In fact, I'm wearing only a sling, without the strap, so I have more mobility.

As I was healing, I prayed a lot for peace, and for the pay to go away. On the pain issue, God and Vicodin answered my prayers! On the peace issue, I think God is working. I'm still dealing with things, but the peace I craved is coming.

Thank you for the prayers - please keep them coming. BIL had a minor procedure yesterday that seemed to help and he was released from the hospital but he still has a fever today so they're not sure if he's getting much better.

DansGirl - I will keep your SIL in my prayers.

I'm bumping this up to ask for prayers. We had a big fire in our city last night (started by a wildfire), with nine homes destroyed and ten affected. Please say a prayer for those folks. The last I heard, one person is missing.

However, please add a prayer of thanksgiving. Other than the missing person, the reports I've heard so far is that there were no injuries.

I just wanted to update my earlier prayer request. One woman lost her life, and seventeen firefighters were injured. Please keep their friends and families in your prayers.

    attorneymom: Saying prayers!!!!!!!!

And if I can ask for some prayers for myself: After a long struggle with infertility, I am happily (if not nauseous) pregnant with twins. If you all could pray for an uncomplicated pregnancy and a safe birth for us, I'd greatly appreciate it!
