    They are still evaluating him. He doesn't have any broken bones, and it is unclear how/why he fell, and why he was unable to get up.

    It makes me so sad to think he was laying there all alone for all that time.

    My grandma has fallen a few times and had a difficult time getting up. My aunt had really been pushing for her to have one of the medic alert things, so she will finally wear that. Maybe that would be an idea for your grandpa? I hope he's OK!

    Does he have a pacemaker? Something similar happened to my grandmother and it was because her pacemaker battery was dying. Once it was changed out, she was fine.

    Actually, it happened twice and the first time was because she needed a pacemaker.

    He doesn't have a pacemaker. He does have Parkinson's, so there are health issues.
