Some of the shots are really great, but it's not something I'd ever do.

What I don't get is how this shows "commitment to your husband". If someone gets remarried, how likely is it that they'd wear the same dress?

    That's exactly what I thought.

I just thought I's drop off this quote from the TTD site.
We’ve been receiving several comments on how wasteful this trend is, but again, the intent is to CREATE, not DESTROY. Weddings should be a fun memorable experience. A “trash” session doesn’t have to be in a bayou, in the mud, or involve fire. It can be somewhere out of the normal element. Somewhere that may get a spot or two on the dress. Become liberated, have fun, enjoy the wedding experience!

Many brides have suggested donating your dress to www.bridesagainstbreastcancer.com, which is a great option as well.

With the exception that I love my dress, I would totally do it!

Jenny - Congrats on the dress no longer fitting!

While I can appreciate the concept of creating something, I would never do this. I still hold out hope that one of my dd's may want to wear the dress someday

I still have a few months to go before I even wear mine for the first time, but I could really see myself doing this (which is honestly a bit surprising!). I'd also want to have FI in the pics too!

Courtney, let me know if you're planning a trip back to FL sometime in the near future

Ok - help me out on this. The bride that's on fire -- is that photoshopped? If it's not then OMG girl stop, drop, and ROLL!!! How did her hair not burn?

I could never see myself doing this. But I am sentimetal about attire. I save certain, special outfits taht I wil likely never wear again. I don't save a lot of things, but my wedding dress and a few things, I do save for teh meories.

I find it a bit disturbing, too. Especially the shoveling groom w/the bride in the trunk- that was definitely just an artsy phfartsy type shot. Someone has come along with an idea and pretty soon it will be a *must do* in the post-wedding tradition. Not for me, but to each his/her own, I guess.
