Default Need Reception Music Song Suggestions...

FWIW, I *did* search first, but I may have missed something...

My BIL has asked my hubby to be his DJ for his 4 hour reception. My BIL is an 80's, classic rocker for the most part. My SIL is all about the soft rock, "listen at work" sort of stuff. So we're kind of at a loss.

At dinner last night, I asked her and her friends what sort of music they all liked, and it was the same thing...soft rock. Now I'm thinking there's needs to be more dancing music than all the soft stuff (and let's face it, you can't *really* dance to Nirvana and AC/DC). So I'm suggesting some classic 80's kind of stuff.

Here's where I need the help...can you guys just throw out a few upbeat, danceable songs so we can spread our musical wings a bit?

    TIA!!

Something my DJ did that was really nice was a "Do NOT Play Under Any Circumstances" list. It makes it easier for him when people request songs the couple doesn't want played.

well, with our extensive CD collection and my hubby's officemates (gotta love iTunes!) we've now have MORE than enough music. In fact, I'm assigned now to purchase the last couple songs on iTunes so the hubby can get it all together tonight and tomorrow (for Saturday).

This is exactly the type of music that my FH and I like. We get married this Saturday. E-mail me at kylasrune@hotmail.com and I will e-mail you the excel spreadsheet that I used, with slow and fast rock songs, some retro, 80's and 90's with a few other good classic tunes. I actually listened to each of them and had to nix some because they just weren't good to dance to.
