    Default Could I finally be?

Ok- I will try to make a long story short. Warning about possible TMI though.

On June 28 I started having a brownish discharge. I've had a whole week of that before and it was my AF then. It was a very light flow and only once did I dirty a pad. I find it mostly when I go the the bathroom. Before this I had no signs that AF was coming- so I was a little confused. But still chalked it up to AF.

Fast forward to last week. Still having some discharge, but now I am getting my usual signs that AF is coming. My boobies are full and my nipples hurt some. Over the weekend I started feeling like I was getting a yeast infection, but it didn't get any worse.

Yesterday morning I decided for the heck of it to take a PG test. There were two lines. I was shocked. Later in the day I took another- still two lines- although this time a little lighter. That was with Dollar Tree's tests. I went out and bought I think it is Accu-clear, or something like that. Got another two lines this morning.

I can't go to my doctor yet as I am on vacation in Florida for another week. I am still having some discharge- is this normal? Am I finally PG after more than a year and half?

Ugh- its all so confusing. Hoping some of you wonderful knowledgeable ladies can help me.

    Thanks so much!

Sounds like your knocked up! Congrats.

Most OBs don't see people until they are about 8-10 weeks along, so don't worry to much about not having seen the OB yet.

    Those lines don't lie!
I had one day of brown spotting before I got my BFP. I've since had it off and on due to progesterone suppositories. Spotting is normal but it can also be a sign of low progesterone. They probably won't see you yet but I would call your doctor to see if they want you to take any blood tests.
    Congratulations!!!

Congrats Karen! I had bright red bleeding for a day or two with my oldest daughter, so I just figured AF had come a bit late (I was in the process of moving cross-country at the time, so I didn't think much of it). When it stopped for more than a week, that's when I took a test.

    Congratulations again!

Oh my- thank you for your responses! So I guess I finally am pregnant. I was just really worried about all the discharge. Wow- it just feels so weird. I have PCOS and we have been trying for a while and my doctor wanted my to take the hysterosalpingogram(sp?) this time. I even have the pills to take to bring on my period. I was going to start about a week before I left here so by the time I get back I would have AF and be able to take the test soon after.

My next step after the test was a specialist. I've taken clomid for 4 cycles, but stopped in March. Was going to start again this time around. Wow everything happened on its own.

DH was funny yesterday- he said no more sex because of this. I said oh yes, we can have sex. I guess he's afraid. I told him, "Listen, if I can't have sex and can't have a drink, its going to be a very long nine months for you to deal with me. I can't drink, so at least let me have sex." LOL I think he's still unsure until we get to the doctor.

Yesterday was our 3 year anniversary- what a gift uh?

    Thanks again!

That's so incredible that it finally happened after all the struggles you went through. My best friend struggled with infertility for 4 years. They couldn't afford treatments or testing because their insurance didn't cover it. Finally they scraped up the money for her to be tested and she made the appointment. They had to do a pregnancy test because the testing involved taking a sampling of the uterine lining, so if there was any possibility of a pregnancy the testing could jeopardize it. Well guess what? The pregnancy test came back positive! It was a total surprise to them. And when their son was about a year old, she got pregnant again and just had a beautiful baby girl this past Friday. They never did figure out why they couldn't get pregnant for that first four years, but they don't seem to be having any trouble with it now.

I can understand why your husband is nervous. After all you've been through and with the discharge, I would be too. While many, many women experience discharge early in their pregnancy, it can also be a sign of trouble in some cases, so be sure to mention it to your doctor. I don't want to scare you, but considering all you have been through to get pregnant, I would mention every little thing to your doctor. I was lucky to have had a wonderful obstetrician who never minded my weekly (sometimes daily!) calls (I had problems with pre-term labor, so every twitch had me running for the phone)!

    Congratulations again and good luck!

Hey Arien - great news about your friend. We weren't going to do anything that insurance didn't pay for. We just felt that if it was meant to happen, it would happen. I have heard stories of people who have taken out second mortgages to get pregnant. We didn't want to do that so we agreed ealry on about how far to go. I had stopped clomid a few months ago because insurance decided they would only cover a certain number of months worth in a certian period of time. It would cost us $40 to buy the pills- not alot- but against what we had agreed on.

You know- the reason I brought the PG tests with me were so I could test before I started taking the pills to bring on my period. I tested early because of the way I had been feeling. Good thing I checked.

My doctor isn't in until tomorrow, so I'll call then to see if I should come in- I will surely mention the discharge.

    Thanks again
