We have the silver cross micro and I absolutely love it - it's incredibly light (9 lbs), has a nice padded cover for the seat, a little basket and a sun shade. I think we bought ours for around $79 but I just saw one online at www.specialtybaby.com for $69.

I have a Mac Volo and LOVE it. Got a great deal on an older model (but still got it new) on Ebay.

Thanks for the link Erika. I just tested a few strollers yesterday and NOW see the fuss over the Maclaran. I am mor einterested in a Silver Cross however as it gets Consumer Reports Best Buys and is less than the Maclaran. How is the rolling mechanism. I was really impressed with how easily the M rolled over a Chicco. Is the SC a smooth ride as well? Does it collapse easily?

I just wanted to come back and say I'm really happy with the Maclaren Volo. We're just starting to use it in situations where we need something smaller. Its been really nice to have, nice and compact but still has a smooth ride.

I hope someone can help me! I bought a Peg Perego Aria for $8 at a garage sale today. It looks to be in great shape, just needs to be cleaned up a bit. I don't know how old it is-the woman selling it said her son is now 4, so I suppose it could be 4-5 years old. FWIW, the pattern is blue and white(?) checked. Anyway, what I want to know is can I take the seat off and wash it in the washer? Also, it does not have a snack tray-is there an option for that out there? We use the snack tray on our old stroller all the time (I had to get a new stroller because one of the wheels fell off my Combi and it's $20 for a new wheel assembly! What a joke.). TIA!

The Aria website says the upholstery can be hand washed at 85 degrees.

I have heard of people washing it on delicate in their machines, though.

    Good luck!

I have a peg (not the aria, but they all use the same upholstery) and was the seat fabric in the washer all the time, on delicate/handwash. I air dry it after. Do not put the hood in the washer, it may bend. But I put it in the bathtub and scrub it and then leave it out to airdry as well. You can order a snack tray for it from Peg perego (pegperegousa.com), you will have to call them. Not sure of the price, but the P3 and Atlantico trays are about $40 shipped, kind of $$ for an $8 stroller .

Thanks ladies! I'm going to try and take it apart today and wash it. Wish me luck!

$40??? ugh! No bootleg snack trays at BRU, huh?

Default anyone have a Quinny Zapp stroller?

While on vacation a few months ago, I saw a quinny zapp and instantly put it on the 'look at more once he gets older' list.

Well, the time has come, and I need a smallish stroller for things like travel (1-2 x a year in the airport), and quick shopping trips that I won't want to take the big stroller in.

The other option is a Mac Quest, but I wish it would be shorter when folded.

Anyone have a Zapp and want to tell me about it? Is the fold THAT hard? The lack of storage isn't an issue w/ me...

I don't have one, but checked one out at Mothercare a few weeks ago. The fold did look a little complicated - I wouldn't want to do it one-handed while holding DB, because even the salesperson had trouble with it. But it is super stylish and so light - I really loved that.
