I'm looking for recommendations on a lightweight stroller - would like an umbrella fold and basket underneath (small basket is fine, just want space to store a little something there). This would mostly be used when we travel (and we basically only travel to visit family). We just can't fit the regular stroller in the car once we add the dog to the mix.

Jane - we love our inglesina swift. We've had it for about 1.75 years now, and aside from dirt, it looks new.

Also, if you want to test out strollers, Comfort 1st here is a great place to do it. Let me know if you want directions.

thanks for the recommendation Em! I'm not looking to spend a lot of money but I don't want something thats so cheap I hate using it.

I've never heard of Comfort 1st and when I googled it I just get links to Comfort Inn so directions would be great. thanks!

The swift is around $100, but built like a rock. We've taken it on planes, thrown it haphazardly around, and it's still great.

Great Beginnings in Gaithersburg is another great place to look at strollers.

thanks! $100 is pretty much the max I want to spend, less would be great but like I said - I want it to still be something I like using.

it looks like a store I could have a lot of fun in.

Thanks Em for the recommendation - I went today and its a nice little store. I ended up buying the MacLaren Volo. Of course now that I'm home I'm second guessing myself and wondering if I shouldn't have gone with the Swift instead. But I think I'm just being silly. I haven't used the Volo yet but I think I'll be happy with it and it was just a smidge cheaper than the Swift.

I'm sure you'll love it. I didn't even look at the macs when I got mine. I can't remember why. Maybe they didn't carry them then? Who knows.

I think it'll be a good stroller to have, I just have to wait a little while to use it since the seat doesn't recline. And I can't get the sun shield thingy to snap on but I'm hoping DH can figure that out tonight.
