Comment: I am not be a knife snob, but these knives are great so far. I have had them about a month and they are performing very well. I saw them as a best buy on ConsumerReports.com. I figured I would let someone else do the experimenting on them.

Summary: Makes a great gift!
Comment: Bought these for my parents last Christmas and they love them!! Almost a year later they are still sharp and work great. My mom said the only problem she ran into was when she tried to cut a frozen pizza, a knife broke. Go figure! But OXO was really great and shipped her out a new knife right away! We all love OXO, their products are great, affordable and reliable!

Summary: Do yourself a favor and buy this knife set
Comment: Hands down, the OXO is the best set of kitchen knives I have ever owned. I live in Japan, and own a set of Japanese knives, which are very high maintenance. The OXO set are just as good as my Japanese knives, but they do not require any maintenance other than the occasional sharpening. After getting the OXO set, I have since retired my Japanese knives. That should say it all.
