Comment: I have had this model for at least 7 years and I came here to buy another TX1500 for my girlfriend. I had bought the model HD sells for her and it stinks--loses programming when the power fails. This Lux model is stone-cold reliable. Batteries (I use Duracell) have always lasted a full year in heat only use--I change them every Thanksgiving. My only complaint is the buttons require very firm pushing after several years and could have been more responsive from the beginning--this lost them 5 stars. I like the 5-1-1 programming; it requires less button pushing to program. However, don't buy it if you don't work Mon-Fri on the same schedule.

Comment: Great product. Easy to install and program and easy to change the settings during operation. We use 3 of these to run the three zones in our house. We have a 2 wire setup controlling heating only in a baseboard hot water system.

Comment: Easy to install, works as promised, easy to use. I bought 3 for the heating season. If they keep working well, I'll get 2 more for the AC next summer. Already saving me time and money.

Comment: Easy to use programmable thermostat as advertised! The unit was simple to hook up and program, 10 minutes at most. Now we don't have to remember to turn down the temperature at night, saving valuable fuel oil!
