Summary: Lush, Extravagant, Addictive Junk Food TV
Comment: I avoided watching Entourage for a while, because of the multiple people that have described it as a male version of Sex and the City. Recently, I've been getting more and more interested in the entertainment industry, and have actually considered moving to LA to work on television, so the world that these characters inhabit began to really interest me. I saw a few episodes at a friend's house and picked up the first season the very next day.

What you get on your first watch is really pretty much how the whole thing feels. All the roles are well cast, and most are well acted. The scripts could be honed a bit, and it seems that the writers always seem to throw the worst lines to Kerry Ferrara (Turtle) who is also the weakest actor, so it's not a good mix on that front. But in truth, there aren't many bad lines. There aren't really any great ones either, but it's all consistently good. It's definitely not just a "male Sex and the City," simply because the cast is better and the writing is decent. It does depend a bit on the glitz and glamour, but it also attempts to give the characters moments of depth, which could be explored later down the road.

Entourage isn't really witty, but it's funny. It's written with considerable care, especially by creator Doug Ellin who had been trying to get the pilot picked up for two years. It's not really a show that is both funny and moving like Weeds or Six Feet Under, but it does have potential to get there... eventually. For now, I'm happy with it being simple tasty junk food TV, because at least it's a sensory treat, keeping you on your toes with beautiful people in extravagant places, a lot of funny celebrity cameos, and a broad range of music that really sells the superstar angle of the show.

7/10

Summary: So Underrated!
Comment: I have no idea how it took me so long to find out about this series! You will love this series, the characters are great! I watched the whole season over a short weekend, and instantly found myself dreaming of what it would be like to have so much money that my friends could all just live off of me, and we could just do whatever we wanted all day long. Entourage gives a fantastic view into the life of a celeb, and the losers that grab onto his coattails. That being said, the "losers" make the season even better, and the plot lines are much better than you would ever think they can be with such a simple subject.

I am so happy that I got this season, and you will enjoy it immensely!

Summary: Vinnie and the Boys...take 1
Comment: This is clever, sexy, and overall very, very addicting!!! I loved this show from the first episode. This is a guilty pleasure that all guys should take in. There's hot woman, plenty of herbal indulgence, and all the drinks you can kick back.
Adrian Grenier is Vincent Chase, a up and coming actor who's keeping it old school with his loyalty to his friends and brother, taking them along for the rollercoaster ride that is his acting career. Every girl seemingly is charmed by Vince...his life is right out of a bachelors fairytale! Let your mind wander freely...
I can't make up my mind who my favorite character is but "E" is 1 of 2 characters I love. Kevin Connelly plays Eric, Vince's best friend turned manager...He doesn't put up with with anybody's crap, hard nosed and hopelessly destined to fall in love with whoever he talks to for more than a week..."E" keeps it real thru the whole fantasy world of Entourage with probably the most believable of the characters( you can see K.C. getting decked by Stallones boy in Rocky 5)"E" evolves into Vinces manger as the series evolves...
Kevin Dillon is the ever annoying Johnny "Drama", Vinces half brother who is always looking to snag Vince's coat tails to keep his "B" level acting career going...he's a trip conming equipped with the most quirky personality on the show...he knows no shame and is officially the cook for the crew...
Jerry Ferrara, who palys the role of "Turtle", the mooch of tag a long...but he is about as cool as anyone can be in this role!!! Always looking for the angle to get hooked up on Vinces Celebrity status, Turtle is the wise cracking side kick type who adds the smart a@@ banter that keeps you laughing and keeps you watching...he is officially Vince's Driver...I'd love that job!!!
Ari Gold is my other favorite character played to a tee by Jeremy Piven...he so often type casted as the nerdy sidekick or villan as he was in "Old School" but not anymore...Piven has broken that cycle playing Vinces "ULTRA CRASS" agent. Ari is always in the mix of the main plot, trying to get the big pay day for Vince in the form of his first breakout movie role. I love Ari...he's hard to stomach but then at times so am I...birds of a feather i guess???!
This 1st series is funny and grabs a hold of you in anticipation for season 2...
