Daisy Gamble can be described as an eccentric woman who hears phones before they ring. Determined to kick her smoking habit for the sake of her fianc , she enlists the help of a psychiatrist and undergoes hypnosis. During her visits, it is revealed that she can regress into past lives and channel her many different personalities and her doctor finds himself falling in love with one of her old personalities.

Customer Rating: Summary: Still a pretty funny girl Comment: I saw this movie after Funny Girl, and perhaps that wasn't the wisest choice. This film is the weaker of the two, but it is, after all a different film. Most people, I know, have seen Funny Girl, so this could be a disappointment if one is expected the same level of film. However, it can be terrific in its own way. Barbra gets to play a modern (at the time) character with Daisy Gamble, while at the same time playing Melina Tentrees, a British gal from the past. Her acting is great, and very entertaining. While Yves Montand is not exactly a perfect leading man, he does his best. 4 and 1/2 stars.
Customer Rating: Summary: straight streisand fan Comment: what a pretty story. I found the transformation between her two parts amazing. It's no wonder she has the rep she does. I fell in love with Daisy.
Customer Rating: Summary: My Name is Melinda! Go to Sleep Go to Sleep Go to Sleep! Comment: Barbra Streisand's best work is in this movie! Too much fun and watchable more then once.
Customer Rating: Summary: Super Streisand Comment: If you need to escape for a few hours, put in this DVD, sit back and enjoy. On a Clear Day will remind you why Barbra Streisand is a legend in her own time. There will never be anyone with the voice, the humor, the class, and the heart of Barbra as Daisy Gamble. She is absolutely super! Her version of the title song will stay with you long after you press the eject button. In this day of supposed musical divas (You can fill in the names here.), it is a pleasure to see a real musical diva at the top of her form! Thank goodness for Barbra Streisand (and Liza Minnelli) who keep good music alive for all of us.
Customer Rating: Summary: hooray for the 60s Comment: Hadn't seen this movie since I was a kid until now...seeing it again as an adult, I still loved the musical numbers and the colorful clash of 60s jaded realism with counterculture's fanaticism with mysticism. The--ahem--imaginative impressions of period Regency costume look almost laughably colorful and polyester compared to the more historically accurate period films that have come out in recent years, but overall, I still enjoy this movie. The DVD unfortunately has no special features, but it's hard to complain when a practically forgotten musical finally gets re-released.
