Summary: Exactly what I wanted
Comment: I will have you know that I am very hard to please, see my other reviews. I am very picky when I order online and I do alot of ordering with Amazon. I research everything I order and when I get something that does not meet expectations I will roast it.
When I find something that is worth the effort I put into the research I do, I lavish praise...this product is awesome.
I ordered three of these for Christmas...one for me (black), one for my wife (blue) an one for our daughter (burgundy).
I really never see me, my wife our our daughter using the cup holder but the rest of the lap desk is awesome.
Cons:
Cup holder seems a bit redundant. I would not want a drink on a lap desk...what if I sneeze? I can see me and whatever I am working on wet. It's useless fir us since these were ordered for use with laptops computers. When using it for laptops the cup holder can be in the way.
Pros:
The cup holder is REMOVABLE which makes the above con irrelevant.
Lightweight, Comfortable
It has a handy pocket in the base which can be used for the remote, or even cd's.
Appears durable and can fit a laptop with a screen up to 17 inches (wide laptops. We have laptops of 17 and 15 inches and they fit with room to spare.
When using it with my laptop it is not "heavy" on my legs
Easily to clean and easily washable
It comes with a no slip mat which is great if you are laying back and the unit is somewhat inclined
The price is very reasonable and these repalce those bulky, fold out laptop desks that take up room and are made of plastric that get dirty.

Summary: Perfectly sized for a wheelchair
Comment: We bought this for our aunt, who is confined to a wheelchair. She said she'll use it all the time. The rolled lip keeps things from falling off. The mug holder is very convenient. And the desk itself is wide enough to use for both writing & reading. Excellent design.

Summary: I love this thing!
Comment: I use this lap desk almost every day. Yeah, the foam beads move to one side occasionally, but you just use your hand and smush them around to where you want them. It is the perfect size for my laptop computer with room left over to the side for a regular mouse. I usually have a soda in the drink slot and it never spills. I've had mine for a year, and it's still going strong!
