For daily beard maintenance or for making a big change to facial hair, Wahl's Groomsman trimmer is the device you need. The Groomsman's high-carbon steel blades are precision-ground to provide a close cut and stay sharp longer. A six-position beard regulator easily attaches to the trimmer's head to provide consistent and safe tapering and trimming of beards and mustaches. The six positions range from a height that tackles longer hairs, (for example, if you are shaving off your beard) all the way down to a short height for trimming daily stubble. For convenience, the beard regulator remembers the last set length height until you change it.

Summary: This is the one I've been looking for
Comment: I've owned several beard trimmers over the past 10 years or so, and each one seems to be a little flimsier, clumsier to use, and less reliable than the one before it.
This Wahl unit is a happy exception. It's solidly made, and does an excellent job -- and it's less expensive than a lot of the junk units. If mine dies I'll be buying another just like it.

Comment: The razor still works but the plastic attachments are plastic and break easily. I am ordering another brand but I could not recommend this. The whole reason for having a beard/mustache trimmer is having quality attachments that allow for different levels of trim. The quality of these attachments is sub par and not worth it at any cost.

Comment: I bought this not too long ago to replace an old norelco trimmer. This wahl one looked good, but it had too many problems. First, I could not get the attachments on or off. It shouldn't be that complicated. More importantly, this trimmer hurts. It would catch the hair and not cut it evenly. Very disappointed and a waste of money. Back to the Norelco.
