Our pediatrician is running low on H1N1 vaccine, so they aren't giving boosters/2nd shots. I understand why they are doing it, but it bugs me anyway. DS was scheduled to get his booster Monday.
We were told this might happen to us too. They told me to keep calling and they don't know for sure when/if they will have the 2nd dose.

I'm annoyed that I didn't 'make' my husband get a flu shot at my work when I was still working. I thought he would be able to get one at his doctor's office, but now everywhere is out and it's not clear if it will logistically work for him to get one at my work clinic now (which is only on Mondays - but not next Monday). To say nothing of H1N1.

Check with your local health department. Ours is giving the shots out for free at their clinics, regardless of income. They also received their supply much sooner than our peds office.
I think kids under... I don't know, 5 maybe? Or 4? are supposed to get multiple shots. I only know b/c I got a card when I got mine and it has a space for 2 stamps and the nurse said I shouldn't worry about it, it's just for kids under X years of age who need 2 shots. I would call your dr and inquire.
Yes, that's what my google medical degree is turning up as well. So odd, because I did ask if my 1 year old would need a booster and the nurse said no. I don't remember if I asked the doctor or not. Guess I'll double check next week and see what's what.
