dropping: I dropped within the last week but it mostly hurts my pelvis a lot more than my back; my doctor said that's b/c the baby's head is 'right there' in the pelvis so unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting any relief from this pain until delivery. It's hard to walk, especially by the end of the day. And the feeling of constantly having to pee is even worse than it was. Like I literally feel like I have to pee all.the.time. even if I just went. I'm a lot more uncomfortable now than I was even last week - but I'm still not ready for the baby to be here yet!
long: That makes sense. My doctor didn't say that, she said I was soft and dilated 1-2, nothing long about it I guess.
internals: I started these at 35w and will have one each week now. I'm too curious about progress now to refuse them, even though 'progress' might not mean anything.
AFM: We are churning through our 'to do' list like crazy. The nursery is mostly done except for decor (I need to get some adhesive stuff to finish up & I'm waiting on my curtains). Wed night my husband put together a toy chest and storage bins I had ordered; last night he put together the swing and the bouncer and tonight he will do the pack n play and we will figure out the monitor (we got the angel care and it's going in the pack n play in our room). I'm hoping to basically finish up this weekend. This afternoon I'm going to leave work early and go to Baby Gap for socks and then some misc odds and ends at Target. It just needs to be DONE! Although we still need to buy a car (! - hopefully this weekend) and figure out the stroller situation. I am officially going on maternity leave next Friday and it is not one moment too soon. At the moment, not soon enough.
Well, I didn't pass the GTT for 2 points! Need to schedule the 3-hour test now. humph!
Went for an u/s today to check on baby's heart PACs. It's still skipping a beat, but it was beating at 145bpm and the dr said that's good. But they want me to come back next week to check again.
Got the H1N1 vaccine while there. As soon as I got home, I saw an article someone posted on FB about many women miscarrying after taking the vaccine (like 2-3 days later) in the 1st trimester and others going into labor sooner in the 3rd tri. It completely freaked me out. I just don't understand why the doctors would tell you to take it if it could make you lose your baby.
Next week I have OB appt on Tuesday morning, childbirth classes in the evening and another u/s on Friday.
I am a friend of akacharlotte's and wanted to share with you all that Stacey had an emergency c-section this evening. Liam Charles was born at 7:03PM, he weighs 5 lbs 1 oz and is 16 1/2 inches long. They found out some startling news on Wednesday in regards to Liam. Right now he is on a vent and in the NICU. They are assessing him throughout the weekend. His hands are still clenched and they also mentioned that he might have a form of dwarfism. Right now, please pray for Liam, Stacey and J. She might get on the computer tomorrow to post and if not, I will come back and update as well.

c'est la vie--I didn't pass my test either...and I am super annoyed that I failed! Three hours is a long time to sit and wait!!
laura--Enjoy maternity leave!!! Very good to know that you are 35weeks and starting to put together everything. We have been debating on that, so we will go ahead and get started soon. I know with Thanksgiving and Christmas fast approaching that time is going to fly!!
pocahontas--I am SO not looking forward to internals...but I am curious enough to be okay with having them done.
We have an appointment scheduled for 11/16 for another ultrasound. I am measuring 3 weeks ahead now, so they want to check the baby and see how big he is. My gyno also said he wants to start doing more frequent ultrasounds at this point to monitor the baby. The only issue is work...I have a certain number of days that I wanted to reserve for my maternity leave and all of these appts are really eating into them. Uggghhh!! They also don't do the three hour glucose test on the weekends, so I have to do that on 11/16 too. It is going to be a busy day with a 7am glucose, 1:30 ultrasound and 4:10 gyno appt. Sigh...so much for resting on days off!!
