before asking your Dr. to prescribe something if you weren't against taking meds during pregnancy? I have been sick sick the last three days and I cannot do this for 6-7 more weeks or whatever.
I wore Sea Bands almost 24x7, and sucked on Citrus Altoids all the time. What really helped was eating a jolly racher before falling asleep, another when I got up to pee at 3am and another the second my eyes opened in the a.m.
If you can't function, give your OB a call...and good luck!
I have tried everything food wise, did the sea bands, tried benedryl, tums . . .none of it has worked. Dr. told me to try Zantac and so far that is working! It is the acidity part of it all that does me it - so it makes sense that Zantac is helping. . . Honestly though I have just always been going by the 'at 12 weeks I will feel better', I think I got worse than, so if you need something take it!!

It is 1 pill 30-60 minutes before you eat. I just started so I don't know how often. I plan to do it before dinner, and maybe lunch if that isn't enough. I am usually fine in the morning. I am hoping not to have to do it long, just enough to get over the hump. Today I have felt lots better, not perfect but better.

I wasn't totally agaist taking meds, but I suffered through 8 weeks of m/s ... every single day. Before it was over I'd lost 10 lbs.
I might be the minority here, but I figured it was my choice to get pregnant and I knew m/s was a good possibility, so I was gonna hack it out for as long as I could without taking anything. (thankfully I had all summer off work to lay on the couch)
Only thing better than having a boy, is having two!

I've already posted once in here but I completely disagree with the PP: If you're really, really ill, as in can't function ill, you shouldn't feel bad about taking something to help yourself. Even with Zofran, I still lost 15 pounds. It's not worth putting your health at risk, which will happen if you can't keep water down. For me, it was either take the Zofran, or be admitted to the hospital. Not a tough choice.
