    Default Bladder problems?

I have a just over 1 year old lab mix. She has been fully houstrained since before waaaay before last Christmas. Cassie hasn't had a single accident since then.

However, twice in the last week, she has been sleeping next to me on the futon (yes, my dog is my baby!) and she essentially wet herself in her sleep!

What is going on with that? She's eating and drinking normally, and not had any crazy changes, like moving, etc. My DH and I have been a bit tense, but nothing too bad (ie, no screaming or yelling or anything). And she doesn't act like she's in any pain, or anything like that.

Do you think Cassie has a bladder infection? The poor thing was so confused when she woke up, and she knew something had happened, but not what.

We decided to take her to the vet next week if she does it again. I chalked the first one up as to chasing too many bunnies in her sleep, she didn't have time to wake up, lol. . . . .but when it happened again, I got to wondering.

    Thanks!

Get her checked out, it definitely could be a medical thing.

My boxer has the same problem. she has accidents and she doesn't even know what she's doing, it's like she's just leaking. she's tested neg everytime we have her tested for infection.

turns out she has bigger issues than just an infection. there was a problem with her spaying and ever since then she's been a leaker. it didn't start right away after her spay maybe a couple of months or so. she's treated with medication that helps, but she still has her moments

if you can, bring the dog to the vet this week. if it is an infection they'll be able to treat it right away. i wouldn't want to wait if i had an infection so i don't want my dog to wait either (yes emma is my baby too)

i know with my vet i can drop off a urine specimen for them to test without having to bring emma in. it saves a little money on the visit, and i can bring her in after if they do find something that needs to be checked out further.

hopefully everything turns out ok for you and Cassie.
