Am I the only one who thinks Coldplay is overrated?

Their music is so boring and slow it puts me to sleep. All their songs sound the same. And they're NOT revolutionary. A lot of English bands have had that sound. Radiohead (a vastly superior band) comes to mind.

I don't like coldplay either. It's not my genre, but I have to agree with you - I really enjoy Radiohead

I like a couple of their songs, but I really don't like them all that much. And I do listen to that genre. I'd much rather listen to lots of other bands.

I'll be the lone dissenter and say I've LOVED Coldplay since 2000. They are electrifying in concert - one of the best I've ever experienced.

I'm ok with people thinking they're overrated - more for me! I'm greedy.. lol

They're not bad, but I do think that their songs sound the same, especially since the radio overplays their songs.

I really don't like most coldplay songs.

Another band that I think was/is highly overrated is Creed. I can't even stand to listen to their songs or watch their videos.

I love Coldplay and agree with sublime311 that they are amazing in concert. I have tickets for the end of September and am looking forward to it!

In regards to all of their songs sounding the same....I don't think they are any different than most bands. Most groups songs DO sound pretty similar. Its only an unattractive quality when you don't like the band!

I agree they are pretty mellow most of the time, and their music isn't fitting for all moods, but they are pretty much my favorite band.

I think they're overrated as well. Their songs are way too mellow for me, and his voice grates on my nerves for some reason.

They have always struck me as a boring version of Radiohead. I do like "Fix You" though.
