W5D3 is a success! I canNOT believe that I actually ran 20 min straight without stopping! I ran at 5mph for the first 15 min then up my speed every min for the last 5 min ending in 5.5mph. I did a total of 2.5 miles in 33 min 47 sec. (I keep speed walking on the final cooldown to get 2.5 miles in).
I never went back to intervals - once I got to a distance I just kept going so - i.e. 20 minutes went to 25 etc. Once I got through the mental blocking running 20 minutes straight I found it super easy to keep going. Although outside is still easier then treadmill.

Treadmill is harder than outside? Really? I thought it was the opposite. We have an awesome trail by our house that I may try this weekend. I don't think I'll go back to intervals either. Maybe I'll do sat on the treadmill again then sun mornin try the 20min on the trail. The hard week is going to be next week when I'm in Aruba. But they have an awesome new fitness center where we are staying and it's only 30min out of my day.
I absolutely hate the treadmill. I find it so boring and I don't run as good. I am back to running again. Today was my first run since last April/May when I was pregnant. It felt sooo good. I think I ran over a mile. I am out of town so I need to google my route to see what it was.
I was thinking harder as in physically. Harder on your body. I'm sure running outside is more fun but I'm scared it will be tougher.
It is only because there are the natural inclines and declines you don't get on a treadmill (unless you set it yourself, of course). You never know, it may not be that hard at all for you!
Tomorrow is W4D3. It seems like the D2 run is always the toughest for me to grind it out. D1 and D3 never seem as difficult. Though, doing the program for the third time now, I think over all it has been easy to transition to some of the longer runs.
