    Default Menu Help

I’m hosting a bachelorette party at my beach house next weekend and this is what I have for the menu. Please let me know if you have any suggestions (particularly for breakfast)….thanks! I’m expecting 12 people

    Friday
    Cheese, Crackers, Hummus, Pita Chips
    Crockpot Pulled Pork, Rolls
    Orzo Salad

    Saturday
Breakfast - Coffee Cake, English Muffins (any other suggestions? I’d rather not have to cook anything though)

Lunch – Deli Meats and Cheeses for the Beach, Rolls - not entirely sold on this either, I was debating getting a sandiwch platter from the grocery store?

Dinner – Turkey & Crockpot Chicken Tacos (sour cream, guac, lettuce, etc), Wagon Wheel Taco Pasta Salad, Salsa, Queso, Tortilla Chips and Margarita Cupcakes for dessert

    Sunday
Breakfast – not sure about this, after a night out drinking I would like to have something decent to offer, perhaps something that could be assembled ahead of time?

    Lunch - leftovers

    Thanks for your help!!

How about bagels and fruit for breakfast on Saturday? For Sunday, you could do one of those overnight casseroles where you prep everything ahead and then just put it in the oven.

I agree with Laura that I'd add a bit more to the Sat breakfast - bagels, fruit and maybe some yogurt as well.

For Sunday, you could do a make ahead dish now, including cooking, then freeze it so all you have to do Sunday is pull is out and yet you don't have to put any time on Saturday either. I've frozen egg frittatas, french toast casseroles, etc and they all recook easily. I made some individual egg "muffins" for a brunch that worked well and you could do various combos.

I would add in fruit trays for breakfast. You could serve the same thing for both breakfasts. Bagels, fruit, english muffins, yogurt. You could get some big tubs of greek yogurt and put out granola, honey and jam for people to stir in.

I would try to add fruit and a protien option to Saturday breakfast, and have some sort of breakfast casserole for Sunday. Our you trying to cook things from scratch or do simle and easy? You coudl alsways get a few frozen quiches.

Overall, it seemed like there were almost no fruit or veggies being offered. Maybe you can add a tossed salad for Friday dinner, fruit platters for the breakfasts and a veggie tray for Saturday lunch?

For Sunday breakfast, a French Toast casserole or strata might be nice. You can make it ahead, freeze it, and just bake it off in the morning.

This is just me, but I'm a savory girl and would prefer a slice of toast over coffee cake in the morning. If you had some mini croissants or bagels with cream cheese, that might not be a bad idea.

I love sandwich platters! Our Kroger has a great selection of options and can accommodate most dietary restrictions.

I'd do a breakfast pizza for one of the mornings. You just assemble and bake.
Instead of having "answers" on a math test, they should just call them "impressions," and if you got a different "impression," so what, can't we all be brothers?
