Jenn -- congrats on #2! What worked for us was using the bassinet attachment of the stroller for naps when we needed to put the baby to sleep downstairs. We had a regular bassinet that we used upstairs. A pack 'n play took up too much floor space (though we do own one).

I would definitely get a PNP- we've used ours SO much!

We do have the one with all the crap (music, sounds, vibration, bassinet, changer), and the only thing we used was the changer, but you definitely don't need that. I would never ever use the bassinet attachment- it seemed so unsafe! We would just put DD/DS in the PNP itself.

It's great just to have them sit/lay in to play with some toys- we probably used it for that more than sleep! Although we did use it for naps a lot. We've taken it on all our trips too since we've found that even at fancy hotels, the cribs/PNPs they provide can be scary.

I just noticed ny pack and play is torn, on the bottom, right where the mattress meets the wall. The tear is small and parallel ti the floor, is there any way I can repair it? I was thinking of using a knee patch when vacation is over.FWIW, we paid $ 40 for it at Costco, but it's the principle, since we've only had it since May.
Instead of having "answers" on a math test, they should just call them "impressions," and if you got a different "impression," so what, can't we all be brothers?
