Janu, let me clarify this upfront by saying that I haven't had gotten any word-of-mouth info, but I'm currently doing research on Myrtle as well (we're thinking of going in Sept), and honestly, I have seen a lot of bad, bad reviews on the Caravelle Resort.
When I see reviews that include words such as "dirty", "moldy", "filthy", "roaches" or "bedbugs" - I move on, and won't consider that property. Unfortunately, seems like the Caravelle is way past its prime and appears to now be a pretty shabby property.
I'd look elsewhere if I were you.
