Made thiscrockpot chicken dish last night. Wasn't bad. I think I will up the red pepper flakes next time to give it more heat. It was a little bland w/o and the sauce did not thicken up for me as the recipe stated. DS would not even try to eat the chicken. He didn't like the rice at all and spit it out.
I am on a roll-- made this unfortunately named chicken dish /(which I called dijon maple chicken when I pinned it). It was good. For baked chicken. I used breasts instead of thighs, and shortened the baking time to 35 minutes which had them cooked through but still moist, so that was good. The sauce burned into the pan, so I might make extra next time to have some sauce left to spoon over at the end. And I will definitely use tin foil to line the dish next time---I'm not sure my hippie all natural detergent is going to deal well with this at all.
I made this on Monday and it was SO GOOD. Super easy, too!
Sausage and Bean Soupw/Ditalini pasta! On the stove now-
I used can cannellini beans(couldn't find the dry) and also added some seasoned southern beans to it & some diced ham. I used the Italian sausage, instead of ground Pork/Turkey. I also don't like chunky tomatoes, so I strained them & used the juice-wasn't much, but poured a can of tomato soup to supplement it. Looks like a hearty soup.
A friend brought these Baked Nutella Swirl Doughnuts to our book club meeting today. They were SO GOOD. I asked her for the recipe and she said she found it on Pinterest. Sure enough, I found that I'd already pinned them! Well, now I can vouch for them-- delicious.
I've made these with amazing success: http://simplylovefood.blog.com/2012/...ffed-peppers/#
success for me = 3 of the 4 of us gobbled them up. My 6 yo ate a whole one herself. YDD had hfm, so she wasn't eating much.
I made these pancakes this morning http://iambaker.net/the-best-zucchini-pancakes/ substituting whole oat flour for the all purpose flour and using Florida Crystals as sugar. They turned out really good and DS loved them. I did find them too sweet for my taste so next time I'll use maybe a third or fourth cup of sugar instead of a cup. I will also experiment more with the flour. The oat flour worked out well but I'll try half oat and half spelt next time and then maybe all spelt.
Does anyone here, have a great Butterbeer recipe that they've tried and have made & is similar to the one found at Universal? I loved the 'frozen' version of it!!!
