One perk is that if you get certain grades (IIRC) you get tuition to a state school. I'm sure there's some hooks in there but so far 5 nieces and nephews are going to college for free.
This is the Bright Futures Scholarship. I totally got that. WOOHOO, free college. Although, back then it was the Florida Academic Scholarship. Whatever, free money, right?
