OMG! Here, too. I lived through strep throat a little over a week ago with minimal complaining and still going about my normal day. DH started feeling bad yesterday and he is the biggest whiner! A friend of mine told me it's a good thing women have the babies or the human race would have ended a long time ago.
I have the same cold, I'm almost 32 weeks pregnant, and have a 2 1/2 year old to chase, and he's the whiner lol!
That DS just told me "Mommy, I think you are all done laying with me" in his new big boy bed, because he needed to use the pillow I was laying on to make a dog house for his stuffed animal, Spot. Thanks, kid!
We had a friend of DD's stay the night on Saturday, so his Mom could go out on a Valentines date. While we were in the car, I asked him what his middle name was and he said "um, I don't have a middle name, actually I do have a middle name, but I don't remember what it is." Gotta love five year old kids!
DH was using a straw broom to keep our back sidewalk clear of snow and he left it inside by the back door a few days ago. Our black cat has fallen in love with it and keeps hanging out right next to it, biting it, and playing with it. This morning when she came downstairs, she went right to the broom, purring, and cuddling, and wacking it with her paw.
It's funny enough to watch in itself, but since it's a black cat and an old-style broom, I was joking with DH this morning that she's our familiar and just trying to figure out ways to let us know that we can do all sorts of fun things with that broom if only we'd acknowledge our witchiness.
She actually is wearing that shoe in that pic. She is obsessed with wearing shoes, which is how we end up with a thousand shoes all over our living room all the darn time. She can't put her own shoes on so she ends up wearing mine or DS's all around the house.
That my daughter will sleep through the cleaning lady vacuuming right next to her head, but she will wake up if I clear my throat from across the room.
