    Default Flip Camcorder Anyone?

Please, share with me about your Flip Camcorder.

I'm eyeing the Ultra HD (120 minute).

Mostly, we use our camcorder (a gawd-awful Hitachi DVD-R) for short video clips.

Generally looking to do two things:
    1. Easy sharing (ideally through Flickr)
    2. Video Editing - DVD burning

I'm concerned about the second since we have to convert our current video clips (VOB) to MPEG in order to edit. Think the Flip clips are MP4s, correct? This would mean conversion to use with Corel Videostudio Pro.

    Thoughts? Experience?

I am also interested in hearing peoples opinions about the flip camcorders. I am thinking about picking one up for DH for Christmas.

I love my Flip. I have the 60 minute camera. Very easy to use. I put it in my purse and it's ready in seconds when I need it for those short moments in life. The software is already installed on the Flip so once it's connected to my PC I just download it over. The software also has editing features.

Thanks for responding. I want to be able to burn the clips onto a DVD each year (with chapters & additional still photos). Do you have any experience using the clips with other software editing programs?

Do you know if you can upload to flickr?

Yes you can. Flickr requires the clip to be under 90 seconds though. I have the ultra hd one and I love it. I had the original 30 min flip video and it was good too, but the hd one is so much clearer.

Here is a quick video I took of my son right before we left for vacation to give you an idea on quality.

    *bump* Any more reviews?

I just ordered a FLIP Ultra HD off of Amazon. (120 min, 8 GB) It was $150 plus two accessories at no cost (Amazon took off the cost) - so I got the plug in for the adapter and the HDMI cables (b/c I probbaly wouldn't have paid for those separately). $157 for all of that (including $7 for shipping b/c I need it here faster than free shipping could guarantee).
