I confess I know I completely overdid it with the cleaning today. I also confess I will totally be milking it when DH gets home and putting him on child and (reheating) dinner duty.

Additionally, I confess I'm kind of glad we're hosting 2 parties over the next two weekends. It's given me (and DH) a kick in the pants to organize and clean. I'm not sure if 21 weeks is too early to be "nesting," but I've got the organization bug BAD. I hope I don't regret throwing/giving away so much stuff in a few months.

i confess....as class mom i offered to host the parent cocktail party for the mommy and me class. We were given a reimbursement budget of $150. there are only 8kids and only parents of 4 kids rsvp'd yes as of this point and the party is in two days...meanwhile, i spent the entire $150 less than half on food goodies from Trader Joes and the rest on booze..wine and beer..i mean, we NEEDED two cases of beer for 8 parents..right?

Confessing that i'm keeping all the leftovers

I confess that I backed the car into our other car today. Not good.

I confess that I let DC #2 eat things that I never would have given DC #1 at this age. (Not allergens, but just more "real" foods. And, um, cake. )

I confess that I want it to be Halloween again already, because I'm excited for what DH and I are dressing up as next year!

Shelby, I'm a second kid--and thus the result of less stringent parenting than my big sister--and I turned out okay!

I confess that I was way more upset after giving notice today than I thought I would be. While I'm glad that I'm running towards something and not away from something, that almost makes it harder. I like the people I work with and the company in general, but for my career development it's time to move on and I got a great opportunity I couldn't pass up. I'm totally freaked out and am hoping it turns out ok.

I confess that I do feel slightly guilty for those who will be taking over my work, but I am beyond thrilled that my doctor moved up my maternity leave start date to NEXT FRIDAY so I only have 7 more work days to go!

    Congrats lbs!

Yay laura for starting maternity leave next week!

    Two confessions:
    1) - I confess that I really don't do well with other screaming kids. I am totally spoiled by my easygoing son, and when the noise level gets high from other kids running around / screaming / crying (got together with a bunch of moms for dinner and there were 5 2 year olds, a 4 year old and an infant). I am so spoiled by DS - that the screaming / crying really is like nails on a chalkboard for me. Clearly, I could never run an in home daycare (or work in one)

    2) I confess that I am trying to finagle DH and I an invite for T-giving. I don't really want to cook and right now we don't really have anywhere to go, so I sent my cousin an e-mail asking about her plans - ostensibly so we could make plans for to get together after dinner / the day after T-giving, but I won't be disappointed if we get invited to join them for dinner. If not, oh well - we'll figure something out, but I am not-so-secretly hoping we get invited to join them!
