December 2009/January 2010 Mommies~It's Trimester Three! Let the Games Begin!

I got a shot in the hospital that is supposed to help prevent whooping cough for me & the baby - did anyone else get this? I forget what it was called.

Have not heard about this.

Anyone planning to travel with the new baby in the next couple of months?

We're taking a vacation in April (DS will be 4 months old) and, while it's a fairly short/easy flight, I'm a little nervous -- hoping he holds it together and we don't bother other passengers.

Any tips/tricks? I've heard that nursing during takeoff and landing can help with pressure pain.

Definitely nursing...one of MIL's older friends called her just to tell her that she should tell us that we needed to make sure DS was sucking something to help pop his ears with landing and take off. So the first time he had his soothie in his mouth and the second time he was taking a bottle. Worked out well and he seemed to be fine and oblivious about what was going on.

We are thinking of taking another trip back home in April when DS is 4 months old...so it'll be quite interesting since he'll be older and more alert as opposed to a quiet newborn everyone thinks is cute the whole flight. Heck, we may just drive so we don't chance him screaming this go 'round.
