    Default Farrah Fawcett has died...

Very sad to hear this - I was just watching Barbara Walters talk about it on GMA this morning.
    RIP!

Thank you! With two such varied careers and lives they each deserve a thread of his/her own. I appreciate it as do many others I'm sure.

Seems kind of late though. The discussion about her got lost in the MJ thread and is pretty much over.
Why do people kill people who kill people to show people that to kill people - is bad?

Some people were requesting it, so it sounds like some people would like a separate place to continue the discussion. Very understandable, considering.

I questioned why it was closed the day it happened. I'm just saying I think the re-open is a little late and people have already talked about it, or tried, in that other thread.

Anyway, her death is very sad. She seemed like one of those celebrities who was genuinely nice. I hate that she died in such a horrible way.

I don't think that she did. Yes, she had cancer, but she had the time to face it, try to beat it, and then decide that it was her time to go. Her family got a chance to say goodbye. It sounds like she went peacefully. There's really not much more you can ask for.

I have a feeling, too, that her family might be glad to not have media attention. The circus is elsewhere, and they get to grieve in peace.
