That cake is incredible, marteneym! I love the ears poking out of the cake. Great job!
Chylynn,
I prefer Satin Ice fondant to Wilton's- it tastes better. I few a few recipes for making your own, but I haven't had time to give them a whirl. I buy Satin Ice from my local cake decorating/baking store, but you can also order it online. It's fun and pretty easy to work with- kind of like play-doh.

Here's the cake my sister and I made for my son's 1st birthday. Neither of us had decorated cakes before. I bought a 3D cake mold and followed the instructions for the engine. We got some inspiration for the other cars from a website where people had posted pics of train cakes they had made.
Wow, everything looks great! I've been thinking of taking some cake decorating classes. I made an attempt at some groundhog cupcakes which turned out okay. It was a lot of work but fun.
Love the anniversary cake. What is the sand made from?
Just wanted to see if anyone was currently taking classes? I want to so bad but they are only offered on a weeknight so coordinating is difficult. I need to get my bake pics on the web so I can post some here.
