Default Are toilet seat covers out?

I have them on my toilets because I like the color they add to my bathrooms but the more people's houses I go to the less I see of them. Are they out? Should I purge my toilet seat covers?

I just think "germs" when I see one....and I don't see them very often now I might add. I'd purge them.

Definitely get rid of them. Unless the rest of your house has '70s decor, then they'll fit right in.

There are so many other ways to add color to your bathroom.

They are out and those horrible wrap around toilet rugs, both germy and nasty.

I love interior design and have worked so hard to keep my house up do date. I have to wonder how I managed to drop the ball with the toilet seat covers. I'm so ashamed. Thanks for the intervention.

Yeah, they're out, right along with the countour rug. Don't feel bad, I'm always the last to know these things as well

What is a toilet seat cover? I'm picturing those little paper thingies in public restrooms, but that doesn't sound right...

Must be a regional thing or I just don't get out often enough because I haven't noticed coverless toilets here at all. We have them (and our house was just built last summer) and so do all of the houses here I've ever been to

ETA: Nevermind I thought you guys meant the actual cover for the toilet - not those carpet things you put OVER the cover...
