A friend of mine posted about this on LJ, and I thought I'd share it here. If you're interested in buying a Kindle, today might be a good day to do it.

From Cnet.com: Amazon is selling the refurbished Kindle with Special Offers for $69. And if you claim a free voucher from Amazon Local (available today only), you can get it for $49! (The article walks you through the details and gives you the links).

I think $69 is the regular price of a refurbished Kindle, but the extra $20 off is today (May 22) only. There's lots of feedback on the various Kindle models in the Kindle thread in the Books section if you're interested.

I have a Kindle Touch and I love it. Though I hear they are coming out soon with a lighted kindle (like the Nook Glow that is out now) and there are times it would be nice to have that.

For those of you who like random great deals, please check out the website www.woot.com It's absolutely the best I've found for just random daily deals, and I've found some really great bargains on there ($400 refurb Dyson vacuum for $189, $60 worth of HEX bugs and track for $25...great birthday present). They have several sections, Woot, Home Woot, Kids Woot, Wine Woot and Sellout Woot (where people post deals they know of). I regularly find really awesome deals on kids stuff and toys/electronics etc. Right now they have having a Woot-off where they put up deals until they sell out then put up new ones, kind of fun to check in throughout the day and see what they have. You only ever get ONE e-mail daily at midnight with the new days deals and an occasional coupon for $5 off.

Also, the write-ups they do for the products are sometimes hilarious! Well worth the entertainment value alone. They have a forum for each item too where people post comparison prices and "reviews" so you can usually tell from that if it is really a good deal or not.

Amazon has Trunki, the rolling suitcase for kids, on sale for $26-30 right now (depending on color). We have one of these and DS loves it. This is a good price if you're interested in getting one.

I saw it on one of the sale sites today as well. It was either zulily or mini social.

WHY is Pottery Barn Kids shipping so expensive?! It's $14 to mail me a crib sheet? Really? Between tax and shipping, it's $23 added on to the purchase price!

On that note, anyone have a PBK coupon?

I think their most recent one expired yesterday. I think if you order an online only item in the store, you don't have to pay shipping.
