The four baskets have hats, onesies, sleepers, and sets (shirts and pants).

One large bin for extra hangers, one large bin for blankets.

The storage boxes have sleepers in the next size up.

Damn, Geranium has way more organizational skills than I could ever dream of!

I'd show you the inside of my baby's closet, but that's more of a lesson in how to NOT organize

Hey Smitten, do you just have the closet or do you have a dresser as well? We have a dresser in which I have:

top drawer = socks, hats, misc clothing items
    2nd drawer = onesies
3rd drawer = pants, shorts, "outfits" that fold
4th drawer = stuff they haven't grown into yet

Then we have a small drawer of bibs, one of blankets, one of burp clothes, and one of towels/washcloths. In their closet I have things hanging by size. I hang most shirts, pj's, collared onesies and other "outfits". We don't have to deal with shoes yet, but I'll probably put those up on a shelf in their closet above the clothes. I'll try to take a pic this weekend and post, but in the meantime, I hope that helped a bit.

    Geranium, that closet is beautiful!

I use DD's closet for storage, so no pictures here. Almost all of her clothes are kept in her two dressers. I hang the few dresses she has in the armoire.

Well, this looks kind of like a joke after Geranium's closet (which is beautiful, as is her whole nursery - see the nursery thread!) but maybe it'll give others courage to post pictures. Baby #2 is on the way (April) and my mother is coming in January to help me organize the closet better - so that DD1's clothes are on the bottom and she can choose them herself and so that we have more buckets/containers etc. (mainly on the upper shelves). We're lucky in that we have a walk-in closet. It's usually just a big mess - I use it to store old toys, outgrown baby clothes that I'm sending to various people, etc. But when it's clear and clean, DD likes to actually go in there to play, so that's my goal again.

This picture is from when she was first born - we had the weekly organizer to put her clothes in to make it easier to dress her each morning for daycare, and you can kind of see that on the inside of the door we have a hanging thing in which we put socks, hats, etc. You can also see in one of the corners that we have a four-drawer plastic thingy that we also put hats, socks, hair accessories, shoes, and now underwear in. Also, some of my clothes used to be in there but they're taken out now to make room for the new baby.

It's pretty much a disaster now so I won't be posting the most current photo!

Holy crap, Geranium- you put us all to shame! I LOVE your nursery and that closet, well....just beautiful!

Here is a picture of DD's room in our old house. We have moved now and the closets are bigger but not nearly as organized this time around. You'll notice it was very gender neutral b/c we waited until her both to find out her gender- this was taken when I was still pg with her:

Then DS arrived 20 months later and we had the 2 kids sharing a room for a few months before we moved. We had very little space and had to move DD's dresser into the closet so that we could fit both a toddler bed and crib:

In both pictures there are baskets on the top shelf (behind the valance) which held burp cloths, towels, hats, and socks.

geranium - i don't mean this question to be snarky, but i am honestly curious. what do you do with the clothes you get that don't match your closet? are those the clothes you just used for taking a pic?

That's what I was going to say! Wow, stunning.

I won't post mine because it's a disaster. I actually have been planning to rearrange her closet and make it look nice enough to leave open. I want to maybe move her dresser (doubles as a changing table) in there to free up floor space for her play kitchen, and it won't work at the moment because it looks like something exploded in there.
