Alicia - Hehe, so not surprised. I do give Sarah a choice of what to wear, the problem is she generally says no to both choices. If it's a dress, then we have no problem, but I simply do not own enough dresses for her to put her in one every day of the week!
Chylynn - I tried that a long time ago. Only problem is that her doll with the potty is packed away in the POD in front of my house. Although I could probably do it on the big potty....
Flu Shots - I definitely one to get one for her (and me!). With her being in daycare, I think it's a must.

Clothing battles - Letting her choose between two shirts has helped A LOT at our house. She only seems to care about picking the shirt...doesn't care what pants I put on her.
flu shots??? Yes! Look, I know there is a lot of discussion on this board and in the news about vaxes, "superbugs", and colds but please consider the flu shot for you and your loved ones. Influenza kills about 36,000 Americans every year and puts more children in the hospital than any other vaccine-preventable disease.
For those that might want to avoid the flu injection itself there is a nasal mist that is FDA approved for 24-59 months old without a history of recurrent wheezing, as well as for healthy persons ages 5-49 years who are not pregnant. (http://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/qa/nasalspray.htm)
DS does get wheezy with colds so we doing the Fluzone shot (which is completely thimerosal-free in the single dose form).
Congratulations, Aunt Liv!! Amelia is adorable. I love that she's already sportin' a little UGA hat. So cute!
Flu Shots
Definitely! With our asthma (not to mention a new baby coming during the height of flu season) dare I say it's a necessity? I got mine a couple of weeks ago through my employer and Caroline is scheduled to get hers on the 9th through her allergist.
Ack!!! Just noticed I'm the next one "up to bat" on the RO list.

Flu shots- I'll probably get mine at my OB appt next Wednesday. I need to call and get James scheduled for his through the ped.
Testing, 1...2...3..., Testing- So DS has been ridiculously defiant lately. Oy. Everything is a struggle, even things that he loves to do- like going outside and playing. He does not listen to me AT ALL and often will just ignore me. Which is somewhat preferable to his other response "NO/YES! I SAY NO/YES, MOMMY!". He did have one funny moment today; after ripping all the freshly-folded clothes off the couch, he said he was looking for his toy cars. I found them and tossed them to the ground (nowhere near him mind you- no chance of injury!). In a very stern voice he said, "Mommy. No throw cars. Only throw balls." Well, at least he's gotten one message.
Seriously though- I am at the end of my patience, which is razor thin to begin with. I need to pick up a discipline book, stat!

Looking forward to next season and Steelers in SB XLV!
Flu Shots~Still undecided here. I've never had one and neither has DD yet. A relative of ours who is a nurse told us that getting them in October though was silly in her opinion. She said that the shots only last about 3 months (as far as their most effective timeframe), and flu season peaks in Jan-Feb. She always holds off until around December 1 to get hers. The nasal spray option sounds interesting though.
Ally~Huge congrats on Brad's job!!
jrdhbunny~We are having the same issue with DD. She challenges DH and I (more me) on EVERYTHING! Mostly ours is over doing things herself. Plus, when we tell her no, she resorts to whining. We've never given in, but there are times she'll whine for 30 minutes or more, which makes us all cranky.
