Still disappointed that you can't come around here and post about much of anything without getting a response or two with hints of snark hidden in them.
ITA!! I personally am glad that you started this thread. If I have a toddler related question, I go to the toddler thread (crazy thinking, I know ) and not the infant thread.

Exactly.
ETA: emschwar: I realize you have a new baby (congrats!), but I see that you have plenty of time to post in this forum. So, why have you not addressed the 85 comments that came about in response to your Gender Prediction blog? Just curious, because I know a few folks had commented wondering why you had not come back there.

Ditto.
I think this thread is very helpful, and that there SHOULD be a carseat thread for toddlers and older kids.
I'm really glad this thread was started, too. I never had a problem choosing an infant seat, but for some reason the booster thing is really confusing to me. It took me a looong time to weed through the other car seat thread to find the information I needed for my 3-year old.
That said, my Regent has been shipped and should be here any day now! I'm so excited. (I managed to snag one during the big sale last month.)

Emschwar, I don't think was trying to be snarking, just letting you know that the thread there covers a lot of the toddler stuff too.
It's fine to have this thread here, there are some areas where things bleed over into one another simply because there is never a perfect cut off age, kwim?
Anyways, it's not a problem having this thread here - so long as we don't have a bunch of cross posting, because that's against our rules. Otherwise, feel free to carry on.
Now, on to other matters for me. DD is still RF (14 months) and we plan to do so for as long as she meets the weight recs and isn't too tall. We currently have a Marathon in my car and plan on getting one for DHs truck as well. I'm contemplating getting a third seat for babysitters though, that way we don't have to undo ours each time. I was thinking about the Cosco Scenara, mainly because it's super cheap. Does anyone know how long it goes RF? Also, can someone tell me how not having a RF tether works out? We love ours on the Marathon, it really helps to balance the seat.
This seat [Evenflo Chase] only allows you to use the harness until 40 lbs. After that, it's a booster. Almost all harness/booster combo seats are like this.
