Anyone have any experience yet with the Advocate? I currently have the Boulevard and love it and am wondering if their are any reviews on the Advocate. I'm not 100% sure it will fit width wise in my car (need to have it next to another seat and will obviously check before buying) but if it does, I'm intrigued. Cost isn't a factor.
I've never even considered tethering on an airplane.
SWEET - thanks! I hadn't considered it either, until I read something (maybe from the FAA's website) about how if you can't safely stow the tray table for takeoff/landing as intended because the tether is in the way (???) you have to pick something else.
I ended up calling our airline this morning to ask about if there's a 'regulation' that it could only be installed FF and she kind of laughed and said she had no idea; her supervisor confirmed that it should be fine RF in a window seat. So I just have to be polite and ask them to point it out to me in a manual if they can find it (which they won't be able to).
eta...on the car-seat.org forums I found this YouTube video on why it's not best to check a carseat. I think it's kind of funny and at the same time appalling - the important part is around 20 seconds into it.
I have two Marathons, one purchased a few years before the other. The older one says to assume a 48 lb. child weight LATCH limit the newer Marathon says to assume a 40 lb. limit. Do I go by what the seat says? I drive a Toyota Sienna and the manual (of course) doesn't say anything about it. My older son is in the seat that says to assume 48 lbs. but he weighs around 40 lbs so I'm not sure if we need to reattach his seat with the seat belt.
DD is almost 2 and still RF in a Scenara. I remember reading on carseat.org that she no longer needs to be at a 45 degree angle now that she is not an infant anymore. I checked the manual last night and it said that the seat must be used in the reclined position. Is the manual only talking about the recline vs upright position of the seat or the actual angle of install?

I have a question about putting 3 carseats in the same row.
I have a 2006 Acura MDX. DH and I are discussing having a 3rd child. Right now, DD#1 is 3yrs 4mos and is in a Britax Regent. DD#2 is 16 months old and RF in a Britax Marathon. She weighs 23 lbs.
If we have #3, DD #2 would be at least 2 years old and would be FF.
I am wondering if anyone has experience putting a Regent, a Marathon, and a Graco Snugride base in the 3rd row of an Acura MDX or similar sized car.
Today I went out and put the Regent and the Marathon (FF) directly next to each other in the back seat and it *looks* like the Graco could fit in the remaning space.
I know that Radiann 80s are narrower, but I really don't want to replace our two existing Britaxes if I do not have to...
Thanks!

I don't have experience with this set up, but you may have difficulties with this. My recommendation would be to try it out (assuming you have the Snugride?) Try a Regent in the middle, a Marathon RF on one side (assuming under RF weight limit - RF to the max!) and the Snugride on the other side.
