Am I missing something? I see "the" spelled "teh" all the time. Is it just an accidental thing or is there some reason/joke/whatever behind it. Maybe I'm just clueless but I don't get it.
It is a common typo/mispelling, but it is used by some computer geek types or gamers to emphasize the word following it. At least, I think that's right.

Well, I think most times on CC, it's a typo, but it's actually an internet slang and some people do it on purpose.
Thanks for the link! I've seen it in a lot more places than CC. So it has had me wondering.
Another word I have wondered about lately is pleaded vs. pled. It's seems in my limited googling that both are correct but pleaded still sounds wrong to me. You say bleed/bleeding/bled why is plead/pleading/pleaded correct? You wouldn't say bleeded.
Well I type teh all the time - by accident. I can't have any of those fancy downloaded spell checks on my work computer and sometimes I am typing and even reading when I check -too fast. I'm a crappy typist.
