    Default Alternatives to Wall Letters?

Did anyone do something other than wall letters in their baby's room? Any other ideas? I like the letters, but I'm looking for something a little different.

    Thanks!

I never did the letters for DS when he was itty bitty. When we moved and changed his room over to a little boy room, I ordered these plaques because I also wanted something different.

Of course, we've yet to hang them, but there they are. She painted them to match his bedding and really worked with me as far as ideas and design. She attached rope to the back for hanging (she will use whatever materials you want-I've seen ribbon for the girl letters). I bought some wooden star pegs that I'm going to paint blue and hang the plaques from them. I ordered the plaqes from a seller on ebay. I can't find her there right now, but her email is theletterworks@gmail.com. There are also a lot of other plaque type options that I just saw now when searching ebay. HTH!

i got 8x10 alphabet wall cards from the land of nod and a little "art-displayer" string and clothespin doo-dad (called the "work-of-art-clips") to hang them up to spell DS's name. i'd post pictures if i were technologically savvy enough to do so. it's really cute and it was cheaper than the letters -- even though i had to buy two sets of cards since i needed 2 n's and 2 a's!

My sister bought one of the sheets that we use on the crib (it has flowers and chinese pagodas on it) and stretched it across a frame. Then she painted Amelia on it with white paint. I'd post a picture of it, but she hasn't actually given it to us yet- she's only described it It soulds like it'll be really cute though.

How about a quote? I put this one in DS room...

    I ordered it from www.vinylattraction.com

I did wall letters too but I did smaller ones just above his changing table.

I painted this one (as is obvious by the not very good job!). We are renting so I didn't want anything too permanent.

edited to put in better picture.

We used vintage wooden toy blocks on a floating shelf, instead of plain letters.

Thanks for posting this site! I had looked at wonderfulgraffitti.com and they wanted more than twice what vinylattraction quoted me for the poem I want to do. Yay!
