Default Question for those with platform beds

Sorry if this is already out there. I did a search and it came up with nothing.

I am looking at new bedroom furniture and love the look of platform beds.

For those of you that have platform beds do you make your bed (and tuck the ends under) so that it looks neat and clean like this every day? I'm wondering if the bed would look sloppy with the comforter just hanging over the edges.

I'm not an every day bed maker, just a comforter straightener. I'm kinda afraid that the bed will always look sloppy, kwim??? Also even when the comforter is tucked under does it look bumpy? Seems I'm thinking that the comforter would have to be kinda thin in order for it to look so clean.

    Any thoughts, opinions, tips??

I don't tuck the comforter in all around. It got to be a pain to untuck at night and I hated having the comforter so tight all around me. I don't think it looks bad...it looks casual, and we're casual people, so it works.

I have a platform bed, but I never make it. When I do, I leave the comforter untucked and it looks fine. The whole tucking the comforter under thing just seems like overkill.
eminently practical and yet appropriate as always

Thanks! I was wondering if anyone actually tucks the comforter under as it seems like a huge pita.

Anyone have a picture of their platform bed with the comforter not tucked in? All the pictures I find of platform beds have the comforter tucked.

We used to have a bed frame like that, and ended up bruising our shins at least twice a week. I like the look, but not enough to be black and blue all of the time!
I do think that it can look nice either tucked or untucked, though.

I can take one, but I don't have one handy at the exact moment.

we do that now! our bedroom is super tiny and the bed takes up a lot of space - so i'm constantly banging into it.

when i make the bed (which isn't very often ) i just tuck in the bottom at the feet. makes it look a little more tidy but it's not a pain to do (i just shove it between the bed and the frame). if i have a pic, i will upload it tonight and post it later.

This may not be exactly what you were looking for, but I found one with the sheet hanging over...

We have one and we don't tuck in our comforter.
BUT - you can see the box spring on the sides! I thought about maybe getting an extra fitted sheet and putting it on the box spring since it looks very yucky.

Hrm - I'm not sure if this will help b/c our platform bed is a different style, but - we have a platform bed and I don't make our bed daily, but when I change the sheets (weekly), I do tuck the comforter into the end. However, our platform bed has a higher rise on the foot board part than the one in the OP, so I am not tucking under anything, just in front of the foot board, if that makes sense.
