Hey ladies, I need to update my iPod and was wondering if any of you had good workout playlists.
Here are some songs that always get me going:
-The Best of You: Foofighters (actually, anything from them usually works)
-This is How a Heart Breaks: Rob Thomas
-Kanye West: (anything)
-Daniel Powter: (anything)
Lose Yourself - Eminem
All Night Long - Faith Evans
Love Like This - Faith Evans
American Woman - Lenny Kravitz
Bounce - Sarah Connor
California Love - Tupac feat. Dr. Dre
Crazy in Love - Beyonce
Dance Like This - Wyclef Jean
Disco Inferno - 50 Cent
Feel Good, Inc. - Gorillaz
Great topic!! I generally just hit shuffle and skip over the songs that aren't good for workouts... I really should make a playlist.
I also really like working out to the Rent musical soundtrack... Most of the songs are inspiring and you can get lost in the story, which makes the time fly.
My list is ever changing... but as of today these are the songs I like to have on hand
I hope others add to this thread... I got an iTunes GC for Xmas and would love to download some high energy songs for the gym...
Let's Get It Started (Spike Mix) [Bonus Track] - Black Eyed Peas
Jamming - Bob Marley & The Wailers
Young Americans - David Bowie
Lose Yourself - Eminem
Good Thing - Fine Young Cannibals

Bad (Live) - U2
Gettin' Jiggy Wit It - Will Smith
A Kick in the Head - Frank Sinatra
Gonna Be a Lovely Day - Kirk Franklin
Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynrd
I was browsing on iTunes the other day and found that they have a lot of workout mixes in there! I downloaded a few from "Running to the 70's." I'll go and check how I found the playlists and get back on here.
Here are my latest downloads:
"Don't Bother" by Shakira
"Pretty Vegas" by INXS
"Dance Dance" by Fall Out Boy
I know there are more... I'll check my iTunes and write back! Gotta head to a meeting!
I got my iPod in October, but I'm just now starting to work on playlists for working out. Right now, I'm going through my highly rated and skipping ones that don't fit. But here's what I'm liking so far:
Mr. Brightside, The Killers
Somebody Told Me, The Killers
(I'll sometimes listen to my entire Killers Playlist)
Du Hast, Rammstein
Roadhouse Blues, The Doors
LA Woman, The Doors (when you need 7 more minutes of motivation!)
Personal Jesus, Depeche Mode
I Feel You, Depeche Mode
Hot Stuff, Donna Summer
You Sexy Thing, Hot Chocolate
Land of 1000 Dances, Wilson Pickett
Without Me, Eminem
Eleanor Rigby, Godhead
Even Better Than The Real Thing, U2

This is my (incomplete; I can't remember them all) mix from when I would do the elliptical a couple years back:
"I'm A Survivor" - Destiny's Child
"Chilli Hot" - Us3
"Cantaloop" - Us3
"Lady Marmalade" - Moulin Rouge soundtrack
"You're my First, My last, My everything" - Barry White
"I'm Too Sexy" - Right Said Fred
"Kiss" - Prince
"Buena" - Morphine
I really like remixes for workout songs... they usually last longer. Lady Marmalade, I'm Too Sexy, and Kiss were all remixes on my CD (I didn't have digital back then).
I'm glad I found this thread! I got an iShuffle for Christmas that is the perfect size to take to the gym! I'm so excited.
I have (in no particular order):
"Ray of Light" ~Madonna
"Zombie Zoo" ~Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
"Disease" and "This is How a Heart Breaks" ~Matchbox 20/Rob Thomas
"Twist and Shout" ~Beatles
"Gotta Jibboo" ~Phish
"Jump, Jive, and Wail" ~Brian Setzer Orchestra
"Cecilia" ~Simon and Garfunkel
"Days of the Week" ~Stone Temple Pilots
"Take Your Mama Out" ~Scissor Sisters
"You Get What You Give" ~New Radicals
"Praise You" ~Fatboy Slim
"Dig In" ~Lenny Kravitz
"American Woman" ~Lenny Kravitz
"Float On" ~Modest Mouse
"Hella Good" ~No Doubt
"(She's Got) The Look" ~Roxette
"What is Hip?" ~Tower of Power
ITA with the Foo Fighters. I have a lot of songs their songs on the list for a workout.
I also have a lot of songs from Beck's album, "Guero" on the mix, too.

Oooh! I love this topic. I tend to listen to faster beats and 80's skating rink music like "let the music play" ... freestyle like Stevie B and even some older hip hip like "Freestylers Anthem" ... yes I'm a geek!! And, of course, my favorite is house. I'm going to go find my ipod now, and I'll post the list later. Love this topic!
