DD was in the music class from around 19 months - 24 months. It was okay... a little on the boring side, but DD seemed to like it. She really likes gym and art classes better though. We ended up dropping our music enrollment and added on to art class sessions. I'd recommend doing a preview before signing up for a class.

Thanks Catgirl! Boring as in..it was just music and instruments or boring as in, the class sucked? Like did they bring out the bubbles etc for this class or was it more of a sit in a circle the whole time and sing? I'm looking for a music class that is a little more than sitting in a circle. Thank you so much for your help!!

It was boring as in we sat in a circle and sang, stood in a circle and walked around, and sat in a circle while the kids inspected instruments. I think a couple of times they used bubbles, but only if it went with a song for that week. It just seemed to be the same thing week after week and I don't think DD was learning anything. It was more of a time filler.

Ok, that helps a ton. We are already in a sit in a circle music class so I think we might skip this then. Thanks!!

We're in our 3rd consecutive 10 week set of classes & I have no plans of stopping anytime soon!

DD loved Music when she was sitting up, but couldn't crawl yet. We did that from 6 - 8 months. I didn't think it was boring - they change the music theme every month, so you're singing new stuff & learning about new instruments all the time. I liked it for me, too, because I learned all of these songs that we sing at home. DD smiles when she hears her old favorites from class!

When DD started to crawl, we enrolled in Gym. We're going into our 2nd consecutive Gym class. She has a blast every week climbing all over their equipment and I'm getting to know some of the moms that come every week, too. Our kids are the same age, so we talk about what's going on with our kids, what problems we're having, etc. It's a good way to get us out of the house and I feel like we're doing something constructive. DD also has a giant crush on Gymbo, their clown mascot.

I work 3 days a week (30 hours) and we go on one of the weekdays that I don't work. But our Detroit locations also offer Saturday classes except for summer when most people are busy on weekends anyway.
