Default Please help, new mom feeling "frumpy"

My son was born 7 weeks ago and I'm feeling very "frumpy". Between nursing him 8 times a day and chasing after my 3 y.o. I barely have time to brush my teeth. I'm toying with the idea of cutting my hair back to how I had it before I started growing it out.
    Here's me now:

    And then:

Things I'm not happy w/ right now:
    1. My bangs! I cut bangs a few months ago thinking it would make my morning routine faster but they drive me crazy! If I'm going to have bangs I think I'd rather have something cut a little shorter and "edgier", these remind me of the dentist on Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer!
    2. Overall my hair just hangs there. I just throw it back in a clip everyday because I can't do anything w/ it.
    3. The fact my DH is excited that I was finally trying to grow my hair out and now I just want to chop it off!

Any suggestions?!? I want something that doesn't make me look like a mom and something a little trendy and new. I've searched the hair lust thread but nothing caught my eye.

TIA....I need all the help I can get

I love your hair in your wedding. Long hair is only going to get more difficult. If you don't like it - cut it off! I have a 5 month old and he rips most of my hair out while he's nursing anyway. I actually think I rpefer your hair in your wedding than how it is now!!

I keep it long because I love it, but soon I will cut my hair shorter so it's easier.

P.S. Good for you for taking the time to schedule a hair cut. I finally got mine cut when Jack was 4 months!! (And it had been almost 7 months since my last hair cut. Talk about looking frumpy...)

ITA - you have a great face shape for really short hair, and not a lot of people do. I would take advantage of that and go short again.

Thanks for the votes of confidence! I'm still looking for the right style w/ bangs now that I have to contend with them.

I think the cut that Julia Stiles has on the cover of an older Cosmo would look really cute. It's floating around here, I'll see if I can find it.

ETA I think this would be cute on you ( sorry so big) :

Maybe even a little shorter on the sides.

I love it on her too, I just don't know if I'd be able to pull it off or if it's to much work to get that "look".

I made an appt for tomorrow evening so I'm searching the internet for pics!

If your hair is straight you should be able to throw some product in your hair and let it air dry to get something similar. Then when you have more time you could play around with it for times you're going out.
