Default Save baby clothes or sell them?

With your first baby, did you sell his/her clothes after he/she outgrew them, or did you save them for your next baby? Just wondering what most people do...

We're saving them, although we're running out of room to store them, so I'm contemplating selling/giving away some, and keeping some.

I kept *most*, but if anything was stained, worn and/or I was just sick of it, I donated them.

eta: by "worn", I mean worn-out, starting to fray, didn't keep it's shape, didn't wash well, etc.

I only kept the outfits I really liked and donated the rest. Most of the things we donated were in excellent condition. I wanted to them to get some use because I am not sure when we will have baby #2 or the season or sex, so I didn't want to hold on to the clothes without knowing if we would use them.

I've kept generic layette stuff, sleepers and general newborn stuff. As for the rest, I'm still deciding...I will keep favorite things for sure, but it is so hard to decide about the rest!

I kept everything after #1 because I wanted another in a relatively short span of time (2 1/2-3 years apart) and we really only have one season here, so that wouldn't be an issue. I ended up not using much past the layette stage because #2 was a different sex.

I am doing exactly what mamax2 is doing. I am giving sime things that are nice away to my niece and friends, donating some and keeping my very favorites for the next one. I was keeping everything but I was really running out of room, so I came to the conclusion that I just can't keep it all.

I was saving them for my sister, but she found out she's having another boy, so I sold the remainder of what I hadn't sold yet (except a few of my absolute favorites that I just can bear to part with). I didn't save them because as of now, we aren't even sure if we will have a #2. When/if we do, it would be at least another 2 years from now, plus you never know what sex #2 will be, so if we were to have a boy, then I will have saved boxes upon boxes upon boxes (have you seen DD's closet? LOL) of clothes for nothing. Plus I love buying baby clothes, so i'm sure that I would end up buying (or receiving as gifts) a ton of new stuff anyway Same reason I sold or gave everything else (high chair, swing, bouncer, infant car seat, changing table/dresser, etc) away. Baby products seem to improve by the year, so I can't imagine wasting the space to store things only to be bummed that there were better/improved ones later.

I've given away some, lent some to SILs for their new DD, and am storing the rest. I dress DD in both girl and boy clothes, and will do the same with the next baby regardless of their sex, so it seems worth it to me to save it all. Seasons aren't that drastic here either.

Your husband wouldn't mind your son in a dress?

Really though, are we talking about just layette (onesies, sleepers, etc) or actual clothing? DD has some boy type items (camo pants, shorts, tees, etc), but I can't imagine saving pink skirts or shirts with butterflies for a boy
