How much do you spend on hair cuts --and how much upkeep do you need daily?
I don't get my hair cut very often --but when I do, I try to get it done very inexpensively. I also don't like to spend much time every day on my hair. Of course, I notice that many women must spend more time and money on their hair.
What about you?
(Thanks for responding!)

My stylist charges $22 for a wash, cut and style. I think he charges way too little, so I always give him a big tip. I’m growing my hair out now, so I get cuts every 3-4 months. When I wear it shorter, I go in every 6 weeks.
I wash my hair most days, and sometimes blow dry it. That’s it. I have very manageable hair. It’s thick and straight and I have my stylist cut it in ways that work with what my hair does naturally so I don’t have to style it. I don’t color it either, since it’s a warm brown color that gets natural highlights in the summer. I’m so spoiled by my nice hair!
I go about every 6 weeks. I spend $30 for a cut and I get highlights every other trip to the hairdresser which I think is usually about $60-70. This is the most I have spend on the upkeep of my hair in my life, but I know this is cheap to most people. I love my hairdresser and I love getting my hair done! Sometimes I like to go even earlier than 6 weeks though - especially if I want it to look good for a special event.
eta: I wash everyday and rarely blow dry. If my hair air dries I tend to get more natural wave so I go with it!
My haircut, including shampoo and style is only $12 at the Aveda Institute. The students all do a really nice job because they are graded on every haircut.
I think I'll be getting my haircut every 6 weeks so I can keep this style looking good.
My hair stylist charges $22 for a wash and cut. $35 if she styles it.
I sometimes go to the Aveda Institute in my area for haircuts. Ours charges $11 for a wash, cut, and style. I have always had a great experience there.
I hate spending a lot of time styling my hair. I just got a haircut that requires a bit more styling (takes me maybe 15 minutes), but it is worth it because it is the best style I have ever had!!
I go to an AVEDA salon. I have really curly hair and usually wear it straight. I spend $50 for a cut and if I get highlights its an additional $65-$70. I am going tomorrow for a major cut (chin length) with highlights and plan to spend about $120. I love my stylist!
I usually use my CHI every other day and wash my hair every 4 days so about 10-15 minutes a day on upkeep.
I spend $110 every 4 weeks for a cut. No highlights. My hair is extremely short and do not even have a hairbrush, comb or dryer in the house. A bit of gel and I'm good to go right out of the shower.
I spend about $100 every 4 weeks for a cut and highlights (my hairdresser actually cuts me a break since I have very thick hair that takes a LOT of foils).
If I wear my hair curly (not very often, Saturdays mainly) it takes about 20 min. to style. If I straighten my hair (weekdays, Sundays) it takes close to an hour.
i get my hair cut and highlighted about every six months. i should probably do it about every 5 months bc by the last month it looks pretty bad, but i am too cheap. i spend a little less than $200 for a shampoo, cut and highlighting. i wish it were less bc i would do it more often.
i spend about five minutes doing my hair. i have fine hair that blow dries quickly without much effort.
